What is the minimum wage?
Effective July 1, 2014 the minimum wage in California is $9.00 per hour, and to $10.00 per hour effective January 1, 2016, $10.50 effective January 1, 2017 and $11.00 effective January 1, 2018. The new sales tax rate is 8.75%.
For sheepherders, however, effective July 1, 2014, the minimum monthly salary for sheepherders will be $1600.34. Effective January 1, 2016, the minimum monthly salary for sheepherders will be $1777.98. Wages paid to sheepherders may not be offset by meals or lodging provided by the employer. Instead, there are provisions in IWC Order 14-2007, Sections 10(F), (G) and (H) that apply to sheepherders with respect to monthly meal and lodging benefits required to be provided by the employer.

To work with us, you provide the necessary paperwork, and we manage the data using our computer systems, software and knowledge. Paperwork will be scanned and returned to you when completed as we are a paperless go GREEN office.
There is no requirement for you to own a computer or purchase accounting software, however, if you own a business you must have a bank account, we do not handle business accounts that do not have bank accounts.
We offer a discount to our clients that want to go GREEN and receive their tax returns in a .PDF format emailed to them to save a tree. We also have the traditional paper printed returns for our clients that like to hold their returns in their hands.
You don’t need to own a computer to benefit from the advantages of computerized records. If you later decide to purchase a computer, all your records can be transferred onto it. Either way, you will be provided with periodic summary reports. You can also receive management reports and be reminded of upcoming tax deadlines.
Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.
Mission statements – You can tell a lot about a company by its mission statement. Don’t have one? Now might be a good time to create one and post it here. A good mission statement tells you what drives a company to do what it does.
Company policies – Are there company policies that are particularly important to your business? Perhaps your unlimited paternity/maternity leave policy has endeared you to employees across the company. This is a good place to talk about that.
Executive profiles – A company is only as strong as its executive leadership. This is a good place to show off who’s occupying the corner offices. Write a nice bio about each executive that includes what they do, how long they’ve been at it, and what got them to where they are.
